Reason for Our Rating

AdRoll was founded by an impressive ad tech team, has impressive funding, and has an impressive customer base of over 30,000 accounts. eCommerce teams can use their ‘Growth Platform’ to make their display, email and retargeting efforts work together to accelerate revenue. Unlike competitors, AdRoll has focused on building technology into a product more accessible by small and medium-sized businesses. But it also can be used at scale by the giants.

They are best known for their dashboard offerings and campaign transparency, but there is a lack of core feature development for a retargeting platform.

The Good

A-List AdRoll has a large integration roster for eCommerce customers: Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, WooCommerce, and more.

Dynamic Capabilities AdRoll combines their data and existing customer data to create stronger dynamic ads for showing the most relevant, high-converting products.

Reporting Review The platform has steadily released improvements to its metrics and reporting capabilities.

The Bad

Not Easy as A/B/C The ability to A/B test is still a glaring feature gap in campaign management.

Search Elsewhere Look for other options if you needing search retargeting, AdRoll only caters to site retargeting and contextual targeting.

Lack of Mobile Unfortunately there is not a mobile app for bid monitoring and management, all updates must be on the desktop or submitted through a help portal.
