Branch Furniture is on a mission to furnish aspiring office spaces without the long wait or breaking the bank.  Their high-end furniture cuts out the middle man to offer everyone great savings and beautiful design.

In 2018, Branch’s CEO, Greg Hayes, discovered the big issue with buying office furniture: it sucks. More specifically, if you want high quality, your wait times increase and so does your pricetag. Branch not only lowers your wait times and pricetag, but they also manage the end-to-end experience from order to delivery. 

Branch Furniture reached out to Yaguara a few months into the pandemic after launching their Direct-to-Consumer arm. Branch’s businesses balooned after this pivot; their executive team was looking for a platform that would help them aggregate their B2B data and now their DTC data, which both are comprised of businesses in the US and Canada. We’ve since been working heavily with their CEO Greg Hayes, his Co-Founder Sib Mahapatra, and their Head of Growth Torin Rittenberg.

The Next Phase of Growth

Branch's original plan was to provide the technology to build an easy, affordable, and flexible way to furnish office space.
 After a fast-rising start, a global pandemic had other plans.

Instead of giving up, the ambitious startup retooled itself to sell home office furniture to the many employees who are now working from home. Now their next phase of growth is balancing their two lines of businesses and increasing demand.

Life before Yaguara

Before signing on to Yaguara, Branch Furniture was already an avid user of the OKR framework to set, track, and accomplish goals. Yaguara’s OKR tool allows Branch to set these once per quarter and using our integration with their various tools, they no long need to update or refresh their data to understand their on-going gap to goal.

Additionally, with the rise of their DTC businesses in both the US and Canada, Branch needed a central source of truth to aggregate, visualize, and make sense of their various revenue streams. Their difficulty was finding a tool that would provide comparative insight of both markets in a clear and visual way.

In the past Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and company activities were held in a variety of places:

We discussed how their team had a great foundation but was ultimately being limited by regular reporting on metrics that matter.
It was taking team members more time and effort than necessary to do it, which limits their frequency of reporting, which reduces their ability to proactively identify and address potential issues when they arise. The obvious challenge was to bring clarity and speed.

“With two business lines (B2B and DTC), two localized Shopify stores and a stack of multiple tools for managing different parts of our business, we were doing a ton of manual reconciliation on a regular basis to track basic metrics like revenue and ROAS.”

Branch used Yaguara to build a universal platform to enable business-wide data visualization, goal setting, and insight creation. Rather than having their OKR owners spending valuable time in ad-hoc sheets and siloed tools, they built an automated system in Yaguara.

Traffic is a leading indicator for Revenue. Without traffic, revenue won’t follow. We must focus on this to increase revenue.

Maintaining and increasing our industry-leading NPS and customer satisfaction

Branch’s industry-leading NPS score tells us they have a group of brand advocates as customers -- this is an underlying asset that often goes overlooked.

In the past Branch team members stated it had taken them more time and effort than necessary to do it, which limits our frequency of reporting, which reduces their ability to proactively identify and address potential issues when they arise.
